This is a game that isn't really a game; it's probably a really good experience. Today I Die Again is the port/ sequel of the online flash game Today I Die. It has some inspiration, pretty neat artwork, and isn't too hard, with a lot of replayability.
Starting with...Inspiration. This game is about a dead girl who somehow comes back to life. You guide her through levels and choose her actions by either guiding her with your finger, or dragging words at the top (see in picture) to choose the scenario. Eventually you...I don't really want to spoil it...so all I'm saying is that it's inspirational.
Next is artwork. The artwork on this game is original, and better than the online version. It's framerate is pretty smooth, even on older devices (like mine). The main artwork is usually all pixel-y, but as you can see in the screenshot, the glow around the girl is not very pixel-y, and later in the game you will see more of this type of artwork.
The gameplay is pretty easy, even though it doesn't give you specific instructions, it's very easy to figure out what to do. The game can be beat in as little as one minute, if your goal is speed, but if you take time to look at all the different backgrounds and listen to the music a little, then you'll be entertained for much longer. In the end the ending is happy, and you get to have a little variety at the end. You will unlock the credits at the end of the game, and I advise not to choose them, because they're long and boring. You can replay the game however many times you want, and you will most likely not get bored for the first 25.
I really don't see any downsides to this game, unless you only like super crazy action games, and if you're not sure you can try the online version, though keep in mind that that version isn't portable, and isn't as good. So get this game. Now. What are you waiting for?! GET IT!
Overall: 10/10, unless you are expecting a super crazy action game.
