If you haven't read the beginning to this adventure, please scroll down to the last two posts. Start with the earliest one.
After staying overnight in my safehouse, I kicked a hole through my wooden city barriers and casually walked away from civilization. Suddenly, a loud gunshot roared through the sky. In the distance, a crackle of light flashed, then faded as quickly as it came. Rain started gushing down hard. Great.
I only had a small idea of where I was going, thanks to a roadmap of the country. Except, this map was a lot smaller, and had no roads. Basically, it was just a bunch of elevations and landmarks. This was fortunately, very useful, as when I lived in the prosperity era, I had remembered how far away my house was from the border of the country on a map. As mentioned earlier, I had trouble finding my way home on a bright, normal day, and needed some way of finding my way to comfort.
I found the area of my house on the map, and had a rough idea where I was. In an attempt for business, I controlled the town near a huge city worthy of a spot on the map. So, based off the larger city, I knew where I was.
My direction was North. Rain seemed like bullets, shooting from the sky and pounding into my skin. It was a nightmare, hiking through the rough, muddy terrain. I reached a point where the land suddenly turned into a 3 mile lake. It was impossible to go around, and the only way past it was through it. Squids resided at the bottom of this lake for some reason; it must've been connected to the ocean. An idea sprung into my head immediately. Thanks to my ultimate laziness, I compared a squid to a dolphin. And rode it across this strange saltwater lake. Huzzah!
The squid dropped me off at a forest, with random mountains and holes everywhere. It was impossible to navigate this thing. Normally, one would think to go around the impossible terrain, but noooo, I decided to trudge through it. Random lunges and climbs exhausted my limbs, and I needed a rest. But according to my map, I was almost there. Just another -body of water. This revelation demotivated me, and I became extremely overwhelmed. I needed a break.
I sat down under a great pine tree and pulled out a piece of bread and some chicken from my backpack. This made an excellent chicken sandwich for my depressing journey. All of a sudden, the rain came to a halt. Everything was still gross and muddy, but at least now I wouldn't get drenched even more. For some reason, after my super depressing thoughts, I continued on. What's wrong with me!!?!??!?!!
The journey this time wasn't as long and annoying. I made it past the bad part, and now just had to walk.
>> >> >> >> fast forward>> >> >> >>
I saw my giant mushroom tower in the distance. It had become night, and the sight of that structure excited me. So much that I hopped the fence to my house, and stored all my items in some crates. Then, sleep.
Too lazy to tell about what happened next. So here's a summary:
Another journey: big city. Destroyed. Steal stuff. All my property is intact. Destroy more stuff. What just happened?!?!= sleep. Wake up in a new world.
