You find yourself blindfolded in a seemingly dark room. By feeling around you can tell that there's a table in front of you and a wall directly behind you.
From the left you hear a door open, and then slowly close with barely a sound. A women with high heels makes a distinct sound as she approaches you, and you can tell it isn't good. In front of you, she pulls out a chair and lowers herself into her seat. Then, a soft, reassuring voice calms you as she explains the situation.
"You are here...well...because we felt like bringing you here. We were bored, so we thought of using a strange experiment on you."
The lady takes off my blindfold and turns a hovering lamp on above me. On the table lay 8 different candies, all unknown and strange looking.
"You may choose one to eat." the lady declares. As I reach for one, she slaps my hand and states some small advice. "Be warned, for these candies were made using several possibly harmful ingredients. One wrong choice can lead to a painful way out."
Aaannnddd intermission.
Just to give you an idea about this, and where my inspiration for this horrible story came from, I'll describe what I was doing before this.
Today, I hadn't planned on writing a post. I was gunna wait until tomorrow to give more people a chance to catch up. But then I developed a small sore throat. Because of this, I ended up consuming a cough drop. That was the most regretful decision of the day.
Immediately the bitter flavor stained my tongue, and almost caused me to throw up my dinner. I kept this medicine in my mouth for around 5 minutes, and wanted to throw it away the whole time. So, I made a blog post about something like it. But when I was writing it, the story became too much like something else so I had to revise it a little.
Now lets move on.
My choice this time took some thought. I referred thought of taking the ugliest candy, but it looked too lethal. So I took the nicest looking one and popped it in my mouth.
The lady looked down and grinned, while leaving the room with the light on. Suddenly, I fell out of my chair and my arms started bleeding. I felt my face getting wet and sticky, and tried to dry it off quickly. My hands became engulfed in a mixture of blood and puss, and the veins in my arms burst. Maggots started crawling out of the floor and devouring my back, and then appeared on my chest. I began to see holes form in my body, some from maggots and others naturally occurring. My bones started spontaneously snapping, and I was unable to move. I found myself drowning in a puddle of my own bodily fluids while I became weaker and weaker. The paramedics burst into the room and tried to save me. They grabbed at me and attempted to pull me out of the puddle, but it was too late. As they grabbed, my hand fell off, and my body started degrading. Everything was disappearing, and I saw everyone I knew rushing into the room, trying to retrieve me from the puddle. They all failed, and started sobbing while fading away.
The last thing I saw was the lady, above all the others, laughing. Everyone disappeared.
How depressing. And that's all because of a cough drop.
