The Box

Last night, I found my self a bit thirsty in the middle of the night. So, I went downstairs to get some water and find something on the kitchen counter. There's a red box with only some type of Asian characters on it, and inside of that box is a metal box with only 1 set of Asian characters on it. There's a lid on it, but it's a bit embedded in the box, so it's really hard to take off. Instead of getting water, I try to pry off the lid, and at the moment it came off the lights turned off in the room. Immediately a column of light shot out of the box, and some weirdo ghost-like things rushed out. Lightning started flashing outside, and the fridge opened. Then the magic water dispenser from the fridge turned on. Then the microwave turned on. Then the toaster started popping toast. Then the trash compacter turned on, and then the sink.
Then everything stopped. It just stopped.

And guess what was in the box? COOKIES!!!
